Welcome to the Institute for Black Justice’s Workers’ Rights Education Series webpage, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Industries (L&I)! In this series, you’ll learn about your rights as a job applicant, potential hire, and employee, in Washington State!
Our team offers one-on-one and group sessions for direct assistance related to specific workers' rights topics.
We offer resources, assist with connecting you to L&I for additional help, and walk you through processes to file complaints.
We table at events, distributing educational resources on workers' rights and assist individuals seeking direct assistance by walking them through our interest form.
We're happy to attend local events, partnering with organizations that serve justice-impacted individuals and workers.
We present trainings around workers' rights, educating attendees on their rights in the hiring and interview process, as well as your rights as an employee.
We specifically focus on L&I's role in workers' rights complaints, in addition to including the Washington Law which L&I operates under.
Are you looking for a workers' rights informational resource?
We'll assist you with finding resources from L&I and provide you with our toolkits and articles!
View events our Workers' Rights team will be attending, presenting at, or tabling!
