The Freedom Summer Symposium outcome determines where Institute For Black Justice will narrow its focus in 2024. Be a part of our solutions focused process by:

1) Registering to attend the Freedom Summer Symposium,

 it's one day this year!

2) Take the EPA Pledge to commit to doing your part for a just and equitable future for all.

3) Join the IBJ ACES Leadership Program if you are between the ages of 18 and 35 and apply to take part in the 2023 Design Challenge. Then take the Epa Pledge. Participants' seats are limited, and we'll choose the new cohort by the end of April. You must complete both steps to be considered for the 2023 Design Challenge.

Highlights From The 2022 Freedom Summer Symposium

The FSS theme for last year was based on the 1969 Mother's Day Uprising in the Hilltop, Tacoma Neighborhood.

Out of the 2022 Design Challenge, an extension of our CHIMES program and its masterclass curriculum was born called CHIMES Prevention (CHIMES-P).
